Challenges in Industry and Infrastructure Security Conference

Eccos participated in Challenges in Industry and Infrastructure Security Conference organized by Zaštita, Croatian trade journal for protection and safety of people and possessions. The conference was held in December 2019, bringing together experts from different profiles from Southeast Europe to discuss relevant experiences, exchange knowledge and to demonstrate the development of functional solutions in critical infrastructures, key and digital services. 

Topics of the lectures were cyber and information security, use of artificial intelligence and blockchain in the process of critical infrastructure protection and various new solutions in the areas of video surveillance and fire and alarm systems, geoinformation solutions, etc.

One of the thirty speakers was also Eccos’s Sales Manager Ivan Bilać, who introduced advanced parking management solutions as part of the smart city concept.  

Examples of critical infrastructure protection of the Republic of Slovenia and the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina were also presented at the conference. 

The two-day conference was permeated with panel discussions. Krešimir Paić, CEO of Eccos, participated in the panel of Croatian exporters where they discussed how the state could help Croatian companies oriented to export, including financing from EU funds and improving relations between relevant ministries and stakeholders in the economy and science. 

The consistency, security, reliability and cost-effectiveness of critical infrastructures are essential for the functioning of the state, therefore it is essential to invest in state’s progress and security, which is of interest to the private sector as well.
