Maritime Security Conference 2022

On September 30, the international scientific-expert Maritime Security Conference 2022 was held in Split, under the high patronage of the Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Croatia, organized by Croatian Security Association and the Confederation of European Security Services (CoESS) and with the co-organization and partnership of the Split Port Authority, University of Split and the company Portus et Navem.

The conference brought together representatives of port authorities, the Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure, the working committee for maritime security of CoESS, the Ministry of the Interior, universities, managers of security in ports, experts and teachers in the security field, manufacturers of technical equipment, devices and software and others experts in the field.

The conference was organized with the aim of responding to new security challenges. Topics covered on the conference were global challenges in security, integral protection of ports as objects of critical infrastructure, and the CoESS manual for maritime security was presented. At the conference, Key Account and Foreign Market Manager, Ivan Špoljarić, gave a presentation on the topic of integrated security systems in the Port of Ploče. Eccos is at the port of Ploče by connecting Eccos’ own Epsimax platform (technical protection system integration platform) with the PCS system (which is used, among other things, for vehicle announcements) digitized processes, increased the level of security and sped up the entry/exit of cargo vehicles in/ from the port.
