07.10.2024

The international conference “Smart Industry – A look into the digital future” organized by the business magazine Poslovni dnevnik took place on October 2 at the Congress Center of the Zagreb Fair.

For the fifth consecutive year, top Croatian and global ICT industry experts gathered to discuss key innovations, technological trends, and opportunities arising from their implementation. Business magazine Poslovni dnevnik aims to promote research and innovation activities and the digital transformation of the economy and society as a whole by connecting leading companies in the smart industry with the corporate sector, public administration, and leading educational institutions.

The conference program was full of interesting presentations, examples of digital solutions in practice, and panel discussions. Our General Manager and co-owner Krešimir Paić, participated in the panel discussion titled “From the domestic field to the global arena: Croatian IT champions”.

Eccos has been involved in projects for the European Commission since 2018 and we have recently secured two new contracts: an investment contract and a contract for the improvement and maintenance of the technical protection system covering almost 80 facilities, including 16 facilities in Luxembourg. In addition to Belgium, we have been active in the data center market in Germany for four years, focusing on infrastructure and energy management solutions. Given that data centers are significant consumers of electricity, any smart solution that brings energy savings is highly valuable. “Our engineers’ expertise is on par with that of external engineers. Our knowledge and capabilities allow us to take on the most complex projects without limiting ourselves to smaller challenges. We are particularly delighted that we can carry out the most demanding global projects from Croatia without the need for emigration,” said Krešimir.

The conference showcased real-life examples of business models that have a positive impact on society and the economy. It also highlighted how the Croatian economy can be stimulated by applying technological innovations and implementing them effectively.
