We participated in the 11th Export Conference, «Smart People Know What Export is For.»
The conference brought together leading exporters, politicians, and representatives of ministries and financial institutions with the aim of exchanging experiences, encouraging innovation, and networking. Considering that exporters face new challenges every day, this kind of gathering particularly encourages the connection of established exporter companies with start-up exporter companies, promoting cooperation in foreign markets.
The conference program included professional lectures, presentations, and interesting panels. Our General Manager, Krešimir Paić, participated in a panel titled «The Importance of Applying ESG Principles in Export Business.» The discussion covered topics such as how companies can align their products and services with ESG principles, the ease or difficulty of meeting these requirements, and strategies for integrating the principle of sustainable development into export strategies.
Krešimir Paić pointed out that Eccos’ primary role is to assist others in using electricity more efficiently through data analysis.
He mentioned that one of our core services is improving energy efficiency for businesses, helping them reduce electricity costs. Previously, we provided this service to company Dalmacijacement (Cemex), analyzing their energy usage patterns and providing insight into when and how they consume the most electricity. This data allowed these companies to predict consumption and negotiate discounts from their electricity suppliers. In times of crisis, this information also helped the companies’ owners make informed decisions, such as shutting down less efficient plants. Currently, Eccos is conducting similar analyses for the electrical infrastructure of data centers in Frankfurt, which collectively consume around 600 megawatts of electricity, equivalent to the output of the Krško Nuclear Power Plant.
Export is one of the key component for the growth and stability of any economy. This type of gathering not only provides an opportunity for networking and forming new partnerships, but also expands the horizons of participants and exporters. It offers new knowledge and insights to help find sustainable solutions to the challenges they face every day.
