We participated in the ninth conference Meeting G2 – The Land of Rising Optimism held in Sisak, on September 28-30.
This conference is aimed at networking with business people of Croatian origin from all over the world and improving the economic situation in Croatia. This year’s gathering was held in Banovina for the first time, emphasizing the immense potential of the area. We are extremely glad to have participated in such an event and contributed to its organization.
During the conference, Kolinda Grabar Kitarović, the former president of the Republic of Croatia, participated through a video call along with other distinguished guests. The conference featured special motivational speeches by rower and Olympic medalist Damir Martin, and chess grandmaster Alojzije Janković. They drew vivid parallels between sports and entrepreneurial success, emphasizing the importance of hard work, dedication, and strategic thinking.
During the presentation and panel, the focus was on Banovina and the potential it holds. Examples of successful practices from the cities of Novska and Kutina were discussed, along with the opportunities and advantages of this region for economic development, supported by relevant statistics. The abundance of wines from Sisak-Moslavina County was also highlighted among other topics. In addition to the mentioned topics, there were also discussions surrounding entrepreneurship in sustainable industries such as solar energy, as well as emerging technologies like artificial intelligence and gaming.
Through nine years the conference brought together over 1,100 participants, including 340 business people from 34 countries and 250 experienced speakers who participated in 47 panels.
The event provided high-ranking guests, presentations, and numerous panels, giving all participants the chance to network, make new acquaintances, transfer knowledge and experience, and connect with Croatian chambers worldwide.
