We support the promotion of robotics among students

20.6.2023

RoboCupJunior is a division of the RoboCup Federation that aims at promoting robotics and artificial intelligence in primary and secondary schools, by organizing robotic competitions focused on young students under the age of 19.
The “European RoboCupJunior 2023” competition was held in Arena Varaždin from 7 to 10 June, where young and talented robotics could show their efforts and work in three different categories: Soccer, Rescue, and OnStage. To support scientific development, we are happy to support the organization of such an event.

The competition brought together 162 teams with over 700 participants from 18 countries, and Croatia represented 29 teams. On home ground, Croatia won 1 gold, 1 silver, and 5 bronze medals.

We are happy when we can help young people. With our contribution, we supported the organization of the competition. We helped the students of the Mechatronics Association from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering to present their robots at the stand at the event, and the students of the XV. gymnasium and Technical School Ruđer Bošković are traveling to the World RoboCup Junior competition in France, where we wish them every success.

Such events open up new horizons in science in the field of robotics and are a great incentive for students to work on robots and exchange and build knowledge in their field, connect with the reality of the industry, and follow the daily progress of automation and robotization with their work.
