Eccos is embarking on another interesting and sophisticated public tender project – the implementation of an APIS IT data center that will cover different types of work to increase the availability of critical infrastructure systems, reduce the risk of internal and external influences and enable better functional integration of space and equipment.
Eccos is extremely proud of the newly signed contract with APIS IT which provides strategic, professional and implementation services to the public and government sector organizations of the Republic of Croatia in the planning, development, support and maintenance of their information systems for 50 years.
The reconstruction and upgrading of existing infrastructure for enabling acceptance of additional IT equipment in the APIS IT server room is a very complex operation, since it must be performed in conditions where it is necessary to ensure uninterrupted operation or minimal interruption of all infrastructure systems and information and communication technologies. In order to ensure the partial function of the existing equipment, redesigning the space and installation of the equipment will be carried out in phases.
The existing server room will be redesigned with the installation of server-communication cabinets and the plan is to divide the existing server room space into three separate units – computer rooms I, II and III. It will increase the capacity, functionality and security of power supply and maintain optimal conditions for the operation of computer equipment.
The design itself is very complex and technically demanding, since it includes civil engineering works, mechanical installations, electrical installations – strong currents, electrical installations – low currents, installation of fire protection systems, technical protection and central control system and engineering services for project design documentation and obtaining a building permit. This challenging project is a new opportunity for Eccos to prove versatility and ability.
